Fasttrak Projects: Sports CONNECT – Presenter Resource

NSW Sport and Recreation, in conjunction with the Australian Sports Commission, engaged Fasttrak to develop a resource for presenters in the areas of disability education, delivery techniques and the use of Game Sense teaching and coaching strategies.

The resource developed was an interactive DVD, with 25 short clips covering the relevant topic areas. After viewing, all clips have a clip summary which can easily be printed for use in a lecturing or coaching environment.

The project required filming and recording in three states over 6 months.

Once again, the interface was designed with simplicity in mind, reflecting the desires of the target group. Additionally, all video clips included the option of closed captions for the hearing impaired.

The interface was developed with Flash 9 technology, allowing it to run from DVD without the user requiring addition pluggins or software.

The Sports Connect DVD has now become part of the national package for disability and sport education.
